From the Baker County Commission Meeting, an update on Baker County Marketing,
b. Baker County Marketing Update ~ Andrew Bryan
Mr. Bryan has been working with various groups to implement the brand “Base
Camp Baker” for Baker County. The idea is to have Baker City as the hub to a
variety of different activities throughout the smaller communities within the
County. Five target markets have been identified as potential visitors to
Baker County. Those are empty nesters, soft adventurers, motorcyclists,
cultural travelers, and international travelers. Mr. Bryan hopes to entice
visitors to Baker County through the new website, basecampbaker.com which is
expected to be up and running by March, and through trade shows and fairs. Mr.
Bryan also discussed a new tag line: ‘Eastern Oregon—our history, your story’
that would encompass all of Eastern Oregon and bring visitors to the area.
